Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information tools.svgandme.com ("we," "us," or "SVG and Me") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: the images you process — removing a background, tracing to SVG, upscaling, cropping, splitting stickers — are handled entirely in your own browser and are never uploaded to our servers. We collect account and billing details only if you choose to sign in or subscribe, and, like most free sites, we run ads to keep the tools free.

2. Information we collect

Your images and files

All of our core image tools run client-side, in your browser, using WebGPU or WebAssembly. When you upload an image, it is processed on your own device and is not transmitted to, or stored on, our servers. The first time you use an AI-powered tool (like background removal), your browser downloads a general model file from Hugging Face's servers to run locally — that's a model file, not your image, and it's cached in your browser for next time.

Account information

If you create an account (via Google sign-in or email and password, through our authentication provider Supabase), we store your email address, display name, and an account identifier.

Payment and subscription information

If you purchase an ad-free membership, our payment processor Stripe handles your card details directly — we never see or store your full card number. We do store your subscription status, plan, billing period dates, and Stripe's customer and subscription identifiers, so we know your membership is active.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, pages you visit, general device/browser information, and similar technical data may be collected automatically — mainly through the advertising described below, and standard web server logs.

3. How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • To create and manage your account, and process membership billing;
  • To respond to support requests sent to us; and
  • To serve advertising that keeps the free tools free (see below).

4. Cookies, ads, and tracking

We show ads through Raptive/AdThrive to keep every tool free. Raptive and its network of advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technology to serve and personalize ads and measure their performance; this is governed by Raptive's own privacy practices, not ours. Raptive provides a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control in the site footer if you'd like to opt out of that data use. Ads (and this tracking) are switched off entirely for ad-free members.

We use Supabase to keep you signed in via a session cookie/token. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Service (pages viewed, general device and location info, how you arrived here) — Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to do this, and processes that data under Google's own privacy policy.

If we add Amazon affiliate links to the Service, following those links may set cookies that let Amazon track that the visit came from us, so we can earn a commission on qualifying purchases — governed by Amazon's own privacy practices, not ours.

5. Third-party services we use

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting for account, subscription, and site-content data.
  • Stripe — payment processing for ad-free memberships.
  • Hugging Face — hosts the AI model files some tools download to run locally in your browser.
  • Raptive / AdThrive — serves advertising across the Service.
  • Google Analytics — measures site usage (pages viewed, general device/location info, referral source) via cookies.
  • Amazon Associates — if we link to products on Amazon.com, we may earn a commission as an Amazon Associate on qualifying purchases made through those links.
  • Google Fonts — loads the typefaces used on this site, which involves a request to Google's servers.
  • Lovable — the platform used to build and host this site, including handling the Google sign-in flow.

Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy, in addition to this one.

6. Do we sell your data?

We do not sell your personal information. Our advertising partners may engage in data sharing for personalized advertising that some state laws (like California's) define as a "sale" or "share" — you can opt out of that specifically through the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link served by our ad partner in the site footer.

7. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to, we'll delete your account data within a reasonable time, except where we need to keep limited records for legal, tax, or billing-dispute purposes.

8. Your choices and rights

You can access or correct your account details from the account page, or ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing svgandme@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example, under California's CCPA/CPRA or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising — contact us and we'll do our best to help, or use the ad opt-out link described above for ad-related data.

9. Children's privacy

The Service isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Data security

We rely on reputable providers (Supabase, Stripe) that maintain their own security standards, and we take reasonable measures to protect account information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

11. International data transfers

Our service providers (including Supabase and Stripe) may process and store data in the United States and other countries. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and if a change is material, we'll make reasonable efforts to let you know.
